I really can't decide whether this is great or blasphemy!

I'm not 100% keen on the style of Trent's singing here, as the song is really made by Peter Murphy's amazing voice, but it is still good :)

But if you look at the crowd, its like they hardly know whats going on! I would be *so* excited to see those two on stage together!!

And I love how in the middle Peter Murphy takes the mic like "let me show you how its done properly" , haha!

I need some money...so would you like any of these things, O few people who read my journal :)

Disney DVDs - The Incredibles (2 disc version), Monsters Inc, and Cars - £6 each - I bought the Pixar Boxset when I couldn't really afford to, so need to make some money back by selling these which I already had!

A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian - Marina Lewyska. A really lovely "Penguin Books" Edition of this book. Never been read, extremely excellent condition!! Bought for a friend but she already had it!

White Teeth by Zadie Smith. Very good condition paperback, slighty creased spine and price written in pencil on first page, but otherwise excellent condition. Again bought for a friend who already had it!!

In Memory of Fred Kottman, 1899 - 1918, Killed on the Somme, 1st September 1918

Fred was my great-great-uncle, my great grandmother's brother. He was a rifleman of the London Regiment, in the 21st Surrey Rifles, and was killed in the First World War in France. His grave is now in Sailly Saillisell British Cemetary in France.

For the 1st September 1918, his batallion's war diary reads:

5.30am - The batallion was in position on the right of the Brigade sector with the 15th Batallion on the left and the 17th Batallion on the right to mop up Rancourt. The attack began at this hour and reached the enemy system west of St Pierre Yasst Wood. Casualties were fairly heavy, and the line was only weakly held"

In the picture below Fred Kottman is the one on the left.

The picture below is of Fred (he is the one with the cross drawn above him) and his fellow soldiers. They all look so young, and so happy. It is horrible to think of the likely fate of most of these boys. They look younger than most of you who will read this.

Gah!

Things / people are just really irritating to me at the moment.

I've successfully spent a good amount of time avoiding people I don't want to be with, and situations I dont want to be in, but now they all seem to be rushing back. *So* annoying. As I don't want to end up without my good friends, but some situations I just don't want to be in.

There does seem to be a common theme running through most of the irritating people I meet - but I'm sure its not their fault. They don't do it on purpose.

Maybe you accidently bought double the amount you needed to or something? (haha, I wish!)

But if anyone does for any strange reason have too many tickets, i'll take them off your hands...I need four ideally.

Having been on the phone nearly all day and then only getting through to be told that they've sold out, I'm now so disappointed :(

But they are actually great - we saw them supporting Combichrist, almost the best support band i've ever seen!

(best one ever was maybe paradise lost supporting type o...or maybe Chris Reed Unit, Salvation etc supporting the March Violets...or possibly it will be Anathema and My Dying Bride supporting Paradise Lost...but anyway!)

Listen to them and buy their album, its great.

Support the artists you like or else there will be none of them left! :)

As i'd never been there before, I had absolutely no idea what to expect...but it was great :D

(apart from having to sleep on the floor!)

Only two things I'd personally do differently next year - I'd go see more bands, as this year I only went to see the ones i'd heard of, and I will make more of an effort to dress up more! Even though Katie made me some lovely skirts, I was getting really bored of V-neck tshirts by the end of the weekend! Must start saving money now i think....

Was amazing to have so many people all in one place who liked such great music! And One were brill, Front 242, I can see why people like them and why they're iconic etc, but I did find them a little boring to watch.
I like to dance! :) Deviant UK and Skinjob (bands i'd heard of but not seen before) were amazing! Just going to buy their cds now :D

And I made friends with some cool people (and a band :D ) , which was surprising as I don't usually do that, chat with random people i mean.
But Katie did help as they all (well some of them) recognised her from Combichrist! I think its the hair!

But all in all it was a great weekend. The party / club in D block of Arkwright was excellent...I really just expected it to be a bloke in the corner with a cd player, but really wasn't, haha. Although I continue to be naive enough not to notice when people have taken things they shouldn't....but *shrugs* ...as long as they don't make me do it!

Will made a better journal / bulletin about it when I have my pictures back...and might have to do one about Bloodstock (which couldn't have been more different, hehe!) as well! :)

...by Nadal in his next match, but tonight Andy Murray played amazingly!! It was so exciting! :)

and when he won he actually smiled! and then laughed in his interview afterwards! he never does that, haha! :D

Hopefully he will take Nadal to 5 sets as well, that would be amazing :) I don't seriously think that he will win - but Nadal does have a slight knee problem at the moment, so we can hope!! :)
